Citizens of Nigeria at home and in the diaspora always complained about the unsavoury state of affairs in the country, especially with regard to the poor system of education. Few Nigerians went beyond talking about the endemic corruption everywhere. Some citizens chose to leave the country for "greener pastures" or send their children abroad for sound education.
However, a group of visionary, God-fearing Nigerians decided to do something to solve the problem by establishing a school where Godly attributes, morals, cultural value and ethics would be taught to the students with academics.
Having succeededed with the primary, they decided to establish Straitgate College in September 2004 as a continuation of a laudable vision of bringing up a crop of young Nigerians who would be made to see the reason why they must make a positive difference in the universe. Elementary
Our Elementary School was established to meet the needs of parents as a bridge between home and school, “Home away from home” for pupils. A pleasant ambience and safe haven for child minding.
The Elementary School is a subsidiary of Straitgate School and works in synergy with the school. It occupies its own building, a duplex, equipped and furnished in a homely and educative form and style.
The Staff
The Elementary School is managed by a Group Head Teacher a graduate with over twenty years of teaching experience and managerial skills.
Other staff members include graduate teachers and support staff.
High School
We give them the best of elementary education in line with both International and National Curricula from Year. French is introduced from Year 3. Essentially, all these subjects are of paramount importance as they form the basis for the THEME subjects to be learned in post primary school. More so, through our hands-on entrepreneurial skills acquisition and project-based learning, the pupils are introduced to the real world around them and are exposed to real life problem-solving skills. What's more? The use of international and best globally acceptable practices in methodologies and strategies makes our classes completely and uniquely interesting. Straitgate College started as a full boarding co-educational Christian school in September, 2004 at Km 82, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Isara-Remo, Ogun State. The college has now been relocated to a serene and conducive environment at Road D, Forthright Gardens Estate, Magboro, Ogun State and now operates both Boarding and Day-School.

ADMISSION PROCESS
The College only admits students into JSS 1, 2 and 3, i.e Grades 7, 8 and 9, and SSS 1 and 2, i.e Grades 10 and 11 on an annual basis. Admission is strictly on merit through written examinations.
Successful candidates admitted by issuing admission letters and mails.
A scholarship scheme has been introduced for the child with outstanding performance in the entrance examination, on 100%, 70%, 50% and 25% category respectively, based on the score.HOW TO APPLY
